MEET THE COMEDIANS:

Vince Valenzuela has shared the stage with such comedians at Adam Sandler, Bobcat Goldthwait, Robert Klein, Paul Rodriguez, Richard Jeni, Howie Mandel, Jay Mohr and Carlos Mencia. His stand up gained national recognition from several television appearances including: Comedy Centrals Make Me Laugh and A&Es An Evening at the Improv, HBOs Loco Slam, USAs Up All Night, SiTvs Funny is Funny, Entertainment Tonight and many more.

Comedian Art Krug has a style that has been described as intelligent, surprising, and universal. Krugs perspective on everything from bidet seats to free range chicken will always catch you off guard. A staple of Pacific Northwest comedy since the eighties, Krug has also travelled across the U.S. and into Canada, performing at such prestigious venues as The Improv in L.A. and The Riviera in Las Vegas. Art has appeared at comedy clubs, colleges and corporate parties for over 30 years. He has appeared on The Showtime Network and won the Peoples Choice Award at the Bend Comedy Festival 2010. Also, Art has been the cohost the podcast Stop Me If Ive Heard This.

Jessica Hong has performed improv, sketch, musical comedy and stand-up at festivals like Limestone Comedy Festival (Bloomington, IN), FunFunFun Fest (Austin, TX), and Memphis Comedy Festival. She was a cast member of Chicagos legendary Lincoln Lodge and is currently just trying to figure out how much energy to devote to leaving the house.

Rod Long is a multi-faceted performer, an artist and one funny cat man!  His career in entertainment started as a professional photographer and writer, which eventually led him to the world of "Stand Up Comedy". Rod's comedy career started in LA when he decided to head back to his hometown, "The Emerald City"....or as he likes to call it, "Mayberry with skyscrapers".  Based in Seattle, Rod soon became a "comedy force" and started headlining all over the United States and Canada.  This led to TV appearances on "The Showtime Comedy Club Network" and many other TV shows. Rod has shared the stage with Anita Baker, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and the late Ray Charles. He is the past winner of both the Seattle International Comedy Competition and Emerald Citys Funniest Person.  Just recently, Rod's film "Rose Colored Shades" recently won best narrative screenplay at the Duluth International Film Festival. Throughout his career, Rod has entertained people of all ages and brought roars of laughter to crowds making fun of topics he's coined, "completely ridiculous".  Rod was performing all over the world exclusively on cruise ships until he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April 2018.  Just like the old saying says, You can't keep a good man down! Following 11 hours of surgery and 27 rounds of chemo, Rods most important credit is that he is a cancer survivor!!!  He's back, hes badder than ever and he's packing a powerful comedy punch!!

Susan Rice has earned her place in comedy by hard work and bringing her unique perspective to the stage night after night.  She subscribes to the belief Funnys Funny no matter who delivers the joke. In 1983 comedy was just beginning in Portland OR.  Rice a classically trained actress was working a $3.85 an hour job at a bank and hating every minute of it.  Her only creative outlet was her bus rides to and from work. There she would engage and make people laugh. For over 38 years Susans comedy life has taken her all over the country & the world. She has lived and worked in Los Angeles CA but for the last almost 23 years Rice has lived and performed in Portland OR and her native Pacific NW.  Stretching out her talents from Maine to New Mexico- from California to Canada she has made her job a lifestyle. Her most recent credit is opening for Maria Bamford & Arsenio Hall.  Shes appeared on Portlandia for IFC. She was voted Portland Oregons Funniest Person by the Willamette week and her peers and comedy patrons. Although she loves doing clubs, Susan has found success with Corporate Fundraising.   She is currently producing a community relief show to help the small businesses of her beloved St. Johns neighborhood in North Portland.  The St. Johns Comedy Festival will be the first of its kind.  Rice is excited about the project and helping two communities she loves Portland Comedy Community and St. Johns get back to laughter.
